                    Our Organization

                    Picture
We're a completely volunteer group. Several times a year the "guiding mothers" meet to plan programs and evaluate past activities. Anyone can help out, either regularly or for one-time events. Although they do not like to be singled out, The Sitting Room has two major Mothers: J. J. Wilson, Professor Emerita of English, Sonoma State University, and Karen Petersen, Librarian, Petaluma Campus, Santa Rosa Junior College. Not enough said, but more than they'd like!  Others oversee the Book Group, edit the annual Publication, organize workshops, arrange speakers, monitor the library collections, cook special treats, and more.
