Our Staff
We're
a completely volunteer group. Several times a year the "guiding
mothers" meet to plan programs and evaluate past activities. Anyone can
help out, either regularly or for one-time events.
Although they do not like to be singled out, The Sitting Room has two
major Mothers: J. J. Wilson, Professor Emerita of English, Sonoma State
University, and Karen Petersen, Librarian, Petaluma Campus, Santa Rosa
Junior College. Not enough said, but more than they'd like!
Getting a Key
We give out keys on the honor system. If you need one so you can use the Sitting Room whenever you wish,
contact Karen Petersen.
Do not duplicate our keys; they must be originals for the much-used lock to work correctly. Redwood Lock provides
us with an endless supply of originals, so just ask.

Our Programs
We plan a variety of literary programs throughout the year:
--readings by authors
--lectures and presentations
--field trips
--monthly book club
--annual publication
We welcome writing teachers to present workshops.
And we have fabulous pot lucks. Check our Cookbook link for recipes.
