PAST PUBLICATIONS AND HOW TO OBTAIN
The Need to Read! or My BLF, My Best Literary Friend is the theme for 2017s anthology. Copies are available at The Sitting Room.
This is What a Feminist Looks Like, our 2014 publication, surprised everyone by its variety and liveliness, so much so that there was an article written by Julie Lee in the Press Democrat, along with appearances on local radio. The buzz was such that we printed a “Second edition," including some material omitted inadvertently from the first printing. Order a copy.
The theme for 2013 was "When I Was a Child, I Read..." The Birthday Party, on a surprisingly cool day, sat under the redwoods and heard sixteen readers from the Sitting Room publication “When I was a child, I read...”. Here's a list of childhood books our contributors featured. We have a few copies left in the Sitting Room, if you want one.
The result is some wonderfully readable anthologies that combine well-known writers alongside people publishing for the first time on such evocative subjects as War and Peace (2003), Nature (2004), Humor (2005), and Books (2006 & 7), Spirit Matters (2008), Travel (2009), Surprise (2010) and Lost or Found (2011), and The Sitting Room: Past, Present and Future (2012), When I First Realized I Was a Feminist (2014), Marriage in Literature and Life (2016). We have limited copies of the earlier publications available in the Sitting Room.
The books are "sold" for $5 or more donation, and are given away too. Archive copies are always available for reading or purchase at The Sitting Room.
