What's New
Somehow we managed to pull off The Sitting Room Birthday once again on June 4, with careful staging and a kindly cool day. Aside from cake, we handed out copies of our new publication based on a sampling of last year’s Sunday Surprises (12 of the 44) along with some of the responses they evoked.
This SAMPLER OF THE SITTING ROOM SUNDAY SURPRISES – or what J.J. did on her “covid-vacation”-- is available free to anyone emailing her directly at boxcar@sonic.net. [Or you can arrange a time to stop by and see the renovations and pick up a copy for yourself.]

Have you met our Angel?
This benevolent presence is now to be found in the Sitting Room back yard, nestled among the redwoods as she was in her original home atop Sonoma Mountain. Sculptor Mary Fuller McChesney passed away recently at the age of 99 and her delightful and often outrageous work can be found in public and private collections throughout California. You can see more of Mary’s art at the Petaluma Public Library and at the Calabi Gallery in Santa Rosa.
Are you keeping cool?
Perhaps you need a Sitting Room fan. Just pick one up the next time you stop by. Remember to email J.J. first, boxcar@sonic.net
